Get to Know Grace Methodist

Grace United Methodist Church is a place where there is laughter, warmth and a "down home feel." It is a church where singles and families can join together in a time of relationship with God. Grace United Methodist Church had its early beginnings in downtown Denver and is affiliated with names such as Iliff, Evans, Buchtel, and Warren. Govenor Evans gives historical reference to the early 1800's where he acquired eighty acres of land known as "the Evans triangle."

Govenor Evans was a deeply religious, kind, intelligent and tireless man. These were influential people of the 1800s that helped build not only Grace UMC, but the University of Denver. The historical sampling being the Evans Chapel located on the DU campus. The Iliff School of Theology fulfilled the "dream" of John Iliff, a wealthy cattleman, who wanted to construct a school known for its religious heritage.
